NICK’S NEWS

Hi Everyone, 

We are thrilled to announce that Nick’s has an official opening date!! For the past six months, we worked tirelessly to get the space up and running. Although we faced a few obstacles along the way, we’ve learned so much and are deeply grateful for the support of our friends, family and community. On October 25th 2025, Nick’s will officially open to the public! 

Events

Before we kick off our regular programming, we’d love to invite you to join us for the South Pasadena Fall Arts Crawl this Saturday, October 18th: 

•  Explore Clay – For Free! (3:00 PM to 6:00 PM)
  We’re offering free open studio time to the community. Come get your hands dirty and experiment with clay! No experience necessary and all ages are welcome!

•  Handmade Pottery for Sale
  Browse beautiful, handcrafted pottery made by our talented artists.

• Sip While You Shop
  Purchase a handmade mug and enjoy a complimentary cup of hot herbal tea on us!

Updates

• Class Registration: 

  6 and 8 week class registration for both kids’ and adult classes will be opening this Friday, October 17th @ 12pm!  We are so excited about our classes and our incredible teaching artists! To learn more about them, check out our teachers page here!

• Try a Class: 

  If you're interested in trying a class but aren’t ready to commit, we have wheelthrowing Try Night classes every weekend, along with various handbuilding workshops coming soon.

• Memberships: 

  Memberships will officially open on Monday October 25th. If you have signed up on the membership interest form, you will be the first official members of Nick’s Ceramics Studio! If you’d like to join, please fill out the member interest form here. 

• Random acts of Sustainability:

  We’re working to reduce our carbon footprint and you can help :).  

  • Ceramics studios use lots of plastic to keep work-in-progress moist. We use yogurt containers for glaze, testing, slips making, and more. Bring us your used dry cleaning plastic and yogurt containers and we will put them to good use.  We would love to give your used plastic and containers a second life.

  • Any unloved old art supplies? We use mixed media for our kids’ programs. If you have art supplies you are not using, we’d be happy to take it off your hands. 

  • Tripping over scrap wood around the garage? Bring it to the studio, we can make your unused plywood into ware boards and tools. :) 

  • Our Hours: We will be open daily from 10AM - 6PM Starting October 25th. You can stop by the studio or call us if you have questions about anything!
